Short and sweet. I am having to watch my intake. I need to make sure I am pushing my protein intake. I aim to get 80 grams at least a day and while sometimes I do very well with it sometimes I do not. I think I am going to focus on morning cardio exercise such as a run or a bike ride and then a good protein shake as part of my breakfast. That is about 25 grams of protein which isn't bad then I can add in a banana or fruit salad and that would create a good breakfast. I also have to make sure I am still choosing the rich in protein snacks and I will continue to use the protein bars because they are good for me and satisfy the sweet tooth I get at times.
One thing that beats me up is my carb intake. I need to lower it because it is causing me not to get in my 5 fruits and vegetables a day because I am choosing them as snacks instead. I should be grabbing an apple or pineapple or grapes instead. So that is my focus now.
As the weather gets better and I am leaving the YMCA, since I do not get there enough, I am focusing on exercising in the great outdoors. Hopefully that will work but I am really excited about running and using my bike more. I will have to keep everyone posted on how it goes.
